I'm a HUGE fan of the IR shifter romances. I absolutely love good authors write about strong Black women finding love in these stories.BUT, the one pet pev I have is when a author slips and forgets what nationality they are writing about and gives the character an attribute usually belonging to a different nationality. I E. An Ebony skinned woman with "Rose blush nipples" ?!?! As described in this book.Now correct me if I'm wrong, but usually with dark skin comes dark nipples. That's just personal experience, being an ebony woman myself. I must say though, that this author usually does Not make that mistake. So I will cut her some slack.
I will just go over the most point. Trent's name in the book at time switches to Owen. Lazarus' last name changes to Ivy's last name somewhere as well. I really enjoyed the story line besides the glaring errors. However, they did bother me a lot. This is not the first book by this author that I have had this issue with. While her books are good and fit in a particular niche, there are other authors in the same niche that have well written books that are adequately priced.
I really didn't know what to expect when I read chose this book. But I chose well and so did Ivy. This tale was guided by intrigue, murder, and family secrets. It was fast paced and characters was developed well in the time frame. If you looking for a little escapism, see if the black wolf gets his mate.
I liked how dominated Lazarus was with Ivy after he met her at her art exhibit. He showed some protective emotion toward her. I loved how Ivy protrayed not to be interest in Lazarus on first, When she really was attracted to him deep within. I loved before how Lazarus knew Ivy secret before she did. He was really was willing to married her just to protect her. It a must read.
Lazarus, pack leader meets Ivy, an up and coming artist. Both strong willed and one is determined to see what the other is about, and the other is determined and tries to ignore the other. Things work out as destined for them but not without some interference.
Dahlia is an amazing author for all her stories I'm held captive until the end wish more was to com, this was no different also funny and sexy, alpha male with the best kind of female vicious. Awaiting next book Demetra
This was an enjoyable read! The intrigue of trying to figure out the secret kept me reading. I hope there is a follow up story that tells of their travels and the fate of her brother.
Wow, what a book. Dahlia Rose has done it again. Great characters, Lazarus and Ivy, both strong willed and loving as mates; the white wolf and the black wolf, mates forever.
