This is one of the best books on spirituality I have ever read. I enjoyed it, cover to cover. If you've read the Temple series from Christopher Penczak you know what a very bright, well informed and easy read he is. This book continues on in that vein. It is a very in-depth look at the shamanic roots of European witchcraft and it's a concept that speaks to me personally. You will walk away from this book educated on various shamanic practices from around the globe and throughout time, and it's influence on modern Wicca/witchcraft. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
I've studied both witchcraft and shamanism for many years. This is a very nice intro to shamanism tailored for those already versed in witchcraft, showing how they compliment and can be integrated, as well as how witchcraft is basically the descendant of European shamanisms.
I really loved this book. I even bought the Cd to go through the book with. I highly suggest this book.

This is a good book no matter what experience you have with the craft. It broadened horizons and pulled some things to light even though I already knew so much about them.
For those wishing to take the path of witchcraft this is great toll to have under your belt. Chris writes in every easy to follow style and has great advice and tools for you. a simply must have book for newbies to the craft.
Christopher is a great writer with a inspiring wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend his Temple series. This book builds on the first two Temple books, but is written in such a way that you can pick it up and understand and gain from it without first going through the Inner Temple and Outer Temple. I do recommend,however, that you do start with the Inner Temple and then the Outer Temple before The Temple of Shamanic Witchcraft to get its full value.
