After rereading too many books, I purchased this journal to help me keep track...not an easy decision either with so many options online and none in stores. It's incredibly helpful. I don't like the extra pages asking favorite books or what I want to write a book about, but they're a small price to pay. This journal fits easily in a bag for book store trips. There's ample room to make notes (unless you're long winded) and margins to add info, like a page count, series name or number, etc. I've ended up summarizing a series and then listing the following books on the next page, there's room to personalize the space, I guess I'm saying. I do wish there were more pages, it's not even halfway through the year and I've just ordered a second one, even with my space saving methods, 100 pages goes fast...but it beats a generic notebook!
As a middle aged life long reader, I began using this little journal over two years ago to record the books I've finished and my ratings and thoughts on each one. Two years later, I've almost filled one journal up and have found its remarkably edifying to go back and remember not only what I've read, but my thoughts on the different books and authors. I'm ordering my second one today.It is indeed a "mini journal", a petite notebook size. I personally really like that, along with its bold red and white design.The only change I would make is to remove so many extraneous pages like "favorite books of childhood" and "books I want to write", etc. etc. A few of them are nice, but they are inserted after every 8 books to record.Other than that, I love it and plan on buying a new one every two years or so, as long as they are in print.
I just bought my second one of these. It takes me about a year to get through it so it works out perfectly for me to look at all the books I've read that year. It works perfectly for what I use it for and that's mainly just to record dates of when I started and finished a book. There's a place for the name of the book, the author and the start/finish dates. There's five stars that you can fill in to rate the book and below is a few lines for your thoughts about the book. It's not really fancy or in depth which I like. It's very simple and cute.
Nice little book for keeping about a years worth of reading, maybe more or less for some. It is palm sized and is small, good for purse or travel but not what I wanted. If you like to write a few lines down to summarize or add a few lines of notes,this will work well. I realized after getting this that I like to have a few pages to write as much or as little based on the book and what I had to say about it and this limited me, It is cute though but for the price could have gotten a larger one with more pages!
I got this Mini Journal in hopes I could use it to keep track of all my book reading. It is a bit small for me but I am a chain reader so all book logs are small for me. It is great for readers that would only read 86 books or less. I did count the book review pages - 86. It also has other places to add favorites and favorite places to read. It is small enough to fit in your purse. I will definitely be keeping mine to use for my all time favorite reads of the year!
When they say it's mini, they aren't kidding (to be fair, they do list the dimensions, though, so I should have paid more attention to that). It's convenient, however, in that it'll get the job done and will fit in literally any bag. I tend to have a lot of thoughts, though, so I am struggling with not having enough space. It's nice, but I'll definitely need something bigger next time.
Quality small books. I bought these at the request of my wife to use as a reading journal/list. She had one and it was used and full. She asked for more and is very pleased with these books. I don't know if they are fountain pen friendly or not. She uses a ball point pen.
This book is adorable and is exactly what I wanted. Some book/reading journals make you have to write TOO much. This one is just perfect.
