Loved! This book has detailed and fascinating modern day and historic explanations of how the world and society ( U.S.) became what it is today. The material in this book affects everyone and challenges us to look past the status quo and everyday normalities of our lives and look deeper to how and why things function (or don't) in our homes, relationships, policies and legistation as they do.
I had to read this book for class and it really transformed my thinking on the ways in which women are expected to care for family members and work in caring professions. I recommend it for classes.
